Jan Tschichold

I designed this book as part of a literary festival in Pakistan. We were briefed to pick an inspirational designer and design a book describing at-least five of their design pieces.

I chose Jan Tschichold a visionary typographer and graphic designer as an inspiration and paid homage to his pioneering work. I picked a few of his brilliant pieces to write about and also created dynamic compositions which closely reflected his work.

Taking part in this project I was able to create a asymmetric balance of elements and design content through hierarchy with an intentional use of white space. Principles i apply in my work till today.
